A second post about cool projects and links I’d like to share!
First, put your headphones on and visit this website for some acoustic ecology! Amazing recordings of some of the wildest places on Earth, in your ears. What more can you ask for.
Then, you may have heard of these, they have circulated a lot on social media already, and there is quite a bit of hype surrounding them. They seem genuinely promising and am looking forward to try them on myself! The Here Earbuds for active listening:
The Soundsnap website, because I wouldn’t want to take for granted that all of you already know it, although it’s getting quite famous. You’ll find loads of quality sound effects there, and decent deals on memberships to download them.
Radio Papesse, a non-profit organisation offering ”an open space to experiment in the field of art; with a particular attention to the sonic dimension of the artistic production”

This enlightening article by Bernie Krause about how the sounds of nature get quieter everyday..
The book Environmental Sound Artist meant to be released this August, available for pre-order (already pre-ordered mine!) – looks very promising.
